Golden Goose Mount Street Window Graphics

Street Window Graphics

Golden Goose Mount Street shopfront with campaign prints on black hoarding panels

The Brief

Golden Goose is an Italian luxury fashion brand known globally for handcrafted sneakers and a distinctive, lived-in aesthetic. Founded in Venice in 2000, the brand has flagship stores in the world's most prestigious shopping districts.

Mount Street in Mayfair is one of London's premier luxury retail addresses. Home to Oscar de la Renta, Simone Rocha, Balenciaga, and other global fashion houses. Golden Goose's new flagship at 24-25 Mount Street places them at the heart of Mayfair's luxury retail scene.

The fit-out was managed by Morfox, a specialist retail construction and fit-out contractor. When their window graphics hit a last-minute problem, they needed a supplier who could deliver under pressure with zero room for error on one of London's most visible streets.

The Problem

The Golden Goose store was in the final stages of its fit-out, with the opening date approaching fast. The shopfront needed pre-opening window graphics: large-scale campaign imagery and branded panels applied to the hardwood hoarding covering the windows during construction.

The project required two types of graphics. Full-colour printed campaign panels (panels H and M) with large format photographic prints of Golden Goose's seasonal campaign imagery, applied directly to unpainted hardwood panels. White vinyl lettering and QR codes (panels G, N, L, I) cut vinyl text and QR codes applied to hardwood panels that had been painted black.

The original approach had already failed. Black vinyl applied by the previous supplier wouldn't adhere to the hardwood surface. The project team had to pivot. Paint the panels black instead and switch to white vinyl lettering on the painted surface. But they needed someone who could execute immediately.

The brief was blunt: "Can you do it ASAP?"

On Mount Street, with a luxury brand opening on a fixed date, ASAP wasn't a casual request. The hoarding was the brand's first impression on one of the most prestigious streets in London. It had to be perfect, and it had to be fast.

The Luxury Standard

This wasn't a simple print job. Golden Goose's campaign imagery is shot by world-class photographers. The print quality had to match: accurate colour reproduction, no banding, no pixelation, and a finish that looked premium at close range on a street where passing foot traffic includes some of the most discerning luxury consumers in the world.

Non-Standard Substrate

The graphics weren't going onto glass, aluminium, or foam board. They were being applied to hardwood panels. Wood is an unforgiving surface for vinyl and print application: grain texture, uneven absorption, and adhesion challenges. The previous supplier's black vinyl had already failed for exactly this reason. We needed an approach that would hold on wood, look flawless, and survive the remaining construction period.

Mixed Media Execution

This was two jobs. The full-colour campaign prints required large format digital printing at photographic quality. The lettering panels required precision cut white vinyl applied to freshly painted black surfaces. Two different techniques, two different skill sets, delivered simultaneously under the same deadline.

Mount Street Visibility

This is not a side street. Mount Street is a destination. Every luxury brand on the street maintains immaculate shopfronts. A poorly finished hoarding would reflect badly not just on Golden Goose but on the entire street's reputation. The Grosvenor Estate, which manages Mayfair's retail properties, holds high standards for how construction hoardings present to the public.

The Results

Golden Goose opened on schedule with hoarding that met luxury brand standards. The campaign imagery looked sharp at close range. The vinyl lettering was crisp and aligned. Morfox had their deadline met without compromise on quality.

When contractors need graphics delivered fast without cutting corners, they remember who showed up when the first supplier failed.

What the Client Said

"When the original supplier's vinyl wouldn't stick, we were in trouble. The opening date was fixed, and we needed someone who could actually deliver, not just say they could. Sign Art Pro quoted us, confirmed the turnaround, and had everything printed, cut, and installed within four days. The quality was spot on. On Mount Street, you can't have anything less than perfect, and they delivered exactly that. They're our go-to for graphics on retail fit-outs now."

Why Luxury Retail Graphics Demand a Different Standard

Window graphics for a high street chain and window graphics for a luxury brand on Mount Street are fundamentally different jobs. The materials are different. The print quality expectations are different. The substrates are often non-standard. And the margin for error is zero.

Luxury retail fit-outs run on tight schedules with fixed opening dates tied to global marketing campaigns, press events, and seasonal launches. When something goes wrong, as it did here with the vinyl adhesion failure, the solution needs to be fast, reliable, and invisible. The finished result cannot look like a rescue job. It has to look like it was the plan all along.

We have the production capability, material knowledge, and installation experience to deliver luxury-grade window graphics and hoarding on compressed timelines, even when we're the second call after another supplier has failed.
